Israel Police deployed officers on Sunday evening to clear Haim Bar-Lev Boulevard in Jerusalem after a demonstration turned violent. Demonstrators blocked vehicle traffic and threw objects at law enforcement personnel who arrived at the scene.

Police declared the gathering unlawful and ordered the crowd to leave. When some participants refused to comply, officers from the Lev HaBira police station, supported by Border Police units, used force to restore order. The intervention successfully reopened the blocked roads.

The Jerusalem incident occurred in a city that serves as a symbolic and administrative center for the region, where public gatherings often draw national attention. The use of force to clear the boulevard marks a direct intervention by the state to manage civil unrest in the capital.

Separate disturbances in Beit Shemesh resulted in two injuries on the same night. Police reported that two young men suffered foot injuries after a concrete block fell on them. The block had been pushed onto the road by hundreds of rioters who also set fire to bins and damaged local infrastructure.

Police clarified that the Beit Shemesh injuries occurred at a location where no officers were present. They stated there was no direct link between the police dispersal actions and the fall of the concrete block. Medical officials confirmed that two people were evacuated from the scene with apparent injuries sustained during the riot.
