The search for Nancy Guthrie, 84, has now stretched across nine months without a confirmed lead. Her daughter, Savannah Guthrie, used social media on Sunday to ask the public for new information regarding the 84-year-old's disappearance from her home in the Tucson, Arizona area.
In an Instagram post, Savannah Guthrie described her mother as a light in the world and asked for the dignity that comes with finding her. She included a childhood drawing from her own daughter showing an umbrella in the rain. The drawing contained the handwritten note: I know it might not seem like it but I really need my mommy.
Nancy Guthrie vanished on Feb. 1. Local and federal authorities have not named a suspect or a person of interest. The Pima County Sheriff's Department announced on Friday that its investigators traveled to Florida to meet with scientists. The goal of that trip was to further DNA analysis in the case, according to KOLD.
The Guthrie family is currently offering $1 million for information leading to Nancy Guthrie's recovery. The private 88-CRIME group is offering a $102,500 reward, while the FBI is offering $100,000 for information leading to her location or the conviction of those responsible.
Investigators are asking the public to call 88-CRIME at 520-882-7463, the FBI at 1-800-225-5324, or the FBI's Phoenix Field Office at 623-466-1999. Tips can also be submitted online at tips.fbi.gov.
